Here we are on the tour of the "Casemates" underneath and around the Marburg Castle! There is really no good english translation for Casemates. Basically they are the tunnels and under ground forts that the men in Marburg built to defend the Castle. They fired their cannons from this room we are standing in and they landed somewhere outside that window.
